Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of ICU or Stepdown experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Stepdown unit of a 12-bed hospital facility
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7p-7a
• Holiday rotation required
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to sister units/facilities as needed, with agency staff floating first
• Epic EMR used (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience required
• Driver's License and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to stepdown/telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and central/peripheral line management
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Free parking available onsite
• During hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September) staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers with prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience will be considered
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and not accepted for this position
• Block scheduling requests may be submitted for approval but are not guaranteed
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
