Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a valid NC or compact RN license.
Details
- 13-week contract in a hospital Med/Surg Oncology unit
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification may be required prior to performing clinical care on some units
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Acute care/inpatient hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process under physician direction
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to identify and pursue expected patient outcomes
- Assesses and anticipates discharge planning needs for patients and families
- Promotes infection control and standard precautions to maintain a safe hospital environment
- Annual competency assessments are required per documented competency checklist
- ACLS training and certification opportunities will be provided if needed
