Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring L&D specialty experience, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN FHM certification for a 13-week night shift contract in North Carolina.

- Hospital Labor & Delivery unit setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required prior to start of clinical care
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
Additional Information
- Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and documentation under physician direction
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to identify expected patient outcomes and address complex care needs
- Communicates with patients and families to develop and update individualized care plans using cultural competency and active listening
- Promotes infection control standards and maintains a safe, clean hospital environment
- Some units may require ACLS certification prior to performing clinical care; training and certification opportunities may be provided
