Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and proficiency with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation.
Details
- MS/Tele unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Telemetry patient population requiring cardiac monitoring and specialized nursing interventions
- Experience with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) is required
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Charting performed in Epic
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within the region
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
Requirements
- Active RN license (standard or compact) currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG/Telemetry
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Experience with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) required
- Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required
- Utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address from within the last 3 months required for consideration
- 2 supervisory references required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from this health system for at least 1 year to be eligible
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days for the 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO requests will be accepted
- A clean, unrestricted RN license with no disciplinary actions is required
