Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/PICU/CVICU night shift position requiring an active Ohio RRT license and a minimum of two years of pediatric critical care experience.
Details
- Work within the RRT-NICU, PICU, and CVICU units treating pediatric patients
- High level of care (Level 4) for NICU and PICU patient population
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- May float to Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU
- 12 week assignment length with potential for 8 or 12 week float contracts
Requirements
- Active Ohio RRT license required in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Experience in PEDS, PICU, and NICU high level of care (Level 4) required
- NBRC certification required, active and in hand
- BLS certification required
- Advanced NRP certification required
- PALS certification required
- Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required, from assignments worked within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients across NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Facility is a smoke-free and nicotine-free environment with no exceptions
- Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine/cotinine testing required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Two fingerprinting processes required, including one onsite prior to start and completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Background check results reviewed by facility; license-related background hits are not accepted
- Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
- Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break is required before returning to this health system
- All work history, including any prior positions at this health system, must be disclosed
