Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Step-Down position requiring tracheostomy and stepdown experience, with night shift availability and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Med/Surg Specialty Step-Down unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Tracheostomy care is performed in this unit
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification from the AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Med/Surg Step-Down experience required
- Tracheostomy experience required
- ICU experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating discharge planning with patients and families
- Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract + one extension) before being eligible to apply again
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) is strictly enforced and must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — non-compliance may result in cancellation
