Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Critical Access Hospital in Great Barrington, MA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and active MA licensure.
Details
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Work in a Family Birthplace unit within a Joint Commission-accredited Critical Access Hospital
- Unit features private rooms, subdued lighting, infant warmers, and monitoring equipment, with dedicated OR suites for Cesarean births
- Anesthesia and delivery services available around the clock
- Collaborative care model with obstetricians, midwives, lactation consultants, and obstetrical nurses
- Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
- On-call requirements apply (details TBD)
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Current STABLE certification required
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of current L&D experience required
- Postpartum (PP) and Mother-Baby (MB) experience required
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for this assignment
- 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment required for consideration
- Current L&D, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby skills checklists (within the past year) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application — no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved, and requests made after offer or during interview will not be accepted
- Provide individualized care to laboring patients and newborns, including postpartum and mother-baby support
- Work alongside experienced obstetrical nurses and lactation consultants to support patient birthing preferences
- Fairview Hospital is nationally recognized in the top 10% of hospitals for patient satisfaction and experience
- Facility holds designations as a Critical Access Hospital and Massachusetts DPH Primary Stroke Center
