Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a 13-week outpatient clinic contract requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting within a medical oncology and hematology oncology coverage pool
• 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No weekends, no on-call, and no major holiday requirements
• No floating required
• No charge nurse duties required
• Position works closely with the chemotherapy infusion room nursing staff but does not directly cover or administer infusion therapies

Requirements

• Active CT RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with oncology patients in an outpatient ambulatory care or outpatient clinic setting required
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card preferred
• Ability to lift and restrain patients as needed
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include phone triage, patient care problem-solving, and collaboration with the clinical team to meet patient care needs
• May have exposure to communicable or infectious diseases and risk of injury from assaultive or abusive patients
• Mandatory overtime may be required on an as-needed basis to ensure unit coverage, as travelers are included in the general staff rotation pool
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
