Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a 13-week outpatient clinic contract requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel experience.
Details
- Outpatient oncology clinic setting within a medical oncology and hematology oncology coverage pool
- 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- No weekends, no on-call, and no major holiday requirements
- No floating required
- No charge nurse duties required
- Position works closely with the chemotherapy infusion room nursing staff but does not directly cover or administer infusion therapies
Requirements
- Active CT RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience with oncology patients in an outpatient ambulatory care or outpatient clinic setting required
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card preferred
- Ability to lift and restrain patients as needed
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include phone triage, patient care problem-solving, and collaboration with the clinical team to meet patient care needs
- May have exposure to communicable or infectious diseases and risk of injury from assaultive or abusive patients
- Mandatory overtime may be required on an as-needed basis to ensure unit coverage, as travelers are included in the general staff rotation pool
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
