Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and 18 months of recent Stepdown experience.

Details

• Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J3-3, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population
• 3x12 hour Day shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM) or Night shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) on a rotating basis
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state RN license required in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in Stepdown specialty required
• Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required, travel experience accepted
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with acceptable scores

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the Stepdown unit and potentially across float units serving the same patient population
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the facility's Nicotine Free requirements
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignments may extend up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break before returning to a Cleveland Clinic location
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
