Description

American Traveler is hiring a Triage RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department, requiring a minimum of 6 years of ED experience and current or very recent triage experience.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department setting with 44 beds across a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility
• Department features an imaging suite, pharmacy, fast-track area, behavioral health suite, private treatment rooms, and family consultation spaces
• Triage role providing initial patient assessment and care prioritization for emergency and trauma patients
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required plus 2 holiday shifts
• Uses Epic EMR for charting and medication administration
• No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• Minimum of 6 years of Emergency Department experience required for triage role consideration
• Must be triage trained with current or very recent triage experience
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide triage assessment and prioritized emergency care to patients presenting with traumatic injuries and acute medical emergencies
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted for this role
• Previous employees of Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities (travel, per diem, or permanent) must have a 6-month break before returning
• Excessive time off requests will not be considered, particularly around the holiday season
• Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Pass/fail Tele/ECG and Medication testing may be required depending on campus
