Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening/night shift community hospital assignment requiring 1+ year of CT experience and Canon/Toshiba scanner proficiency.

Details

• Community hospital setting supporting outpatient, inpatient, OR, and ER patients
• CT Tech unit with 2 procedure rooms
• Average daily caseload of 50 studies
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Performs CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and CTAs
• Shift schedule includes Wednesday and Thursday 3:00 PM-11:00 PM and Friday-Sunday 10:30 PM-6:30 AM
• Every weekend work required, working every 3rd weekend
• No call requirements
• No block scheduling available
• May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Uses PACS system and Canon/Toshiba CT scanner

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in CT required
• ARRT and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Canon CT system experience required
• PACS experience required
• IV start experience preferred
• Toshiba equipment experience preferred
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, OR, ER, and community hospital settings required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions including CTA studies
• Responsible for image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Administer contrast media and perform peripheral IV starts and venipuncture as needed
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and radiation safety guidelines
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Locals accepted for this radiology position
• Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since last worked as perm staff or per diem
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
