Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a specialized orthopedic and spine surgical unit, with both circulating and scrubbing responsibilities and on-call requirements.
Details
- Position is in a Center for Joint Replacement and Innovation (CJRI) OR, focused on total joints and spine cases
- Preferred schedule is 40 hours/week structured as two 8-hour shifts (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) and two 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM–7:00 PM), with flexibility for four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM)
- On-call is required specifically for spine cases: one weekday call per week (5:00 PM–7:00 AM), with start time varying based on end of the preceding shift
- One weekend on-call per month covering Friday through Sunday with 24-hour coverage
Requirements
- Active RN license — Compact (multi-state) or Connecticut (CT) license required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
- Ability to both circulate and scrub total joint and spine surgical cases
- Prior OR experience with total joints and/or spine procedures required

- Two professional references required for consideration
- Local candidates may be accepted depending on state of residence — local pay rates are available for RNs residing in select states (CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, MD, MA, MI, NC, NE, NY, OH, OR, PA)
