Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric PACU position at a children's hospital in SW Florida, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU and pediatric experience with an active FL or compact RN license.
Details
- Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a children's hospital
- 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week, running 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- On-call responsibilities are required for this position
- Floating is required; travelers are the first to float and may be assigned to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- Pediatric nursing experience required
- Degree from an accredited nursing program required, or a minimum of 5 years of RN experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Full demographic information required for consideration, including address, email, full DOB, SSN, and RN license number
Additional Information
- Travelers are expected to function as core staff members; cultural fit and being a team player are highly valued at this facility
- No block scheduling requests will be accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to submission, as the facility will not approve RTO after an offer is made
- Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be physically present at the facility on that day for badge/ID processing
- Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
