Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience for a night shift assignment at an acute care hospital in Grand Junction, CO.
Details
- Computed Tomography (CT) department within an acute care hospital setting
- 3x12-hour night shifts per week, with weekend availability required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Radiation badge required and will be provided
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting
- Associate's degree required
- BLS (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start date
- ARRT(R) required; ARRT(R)(CT) preferred
- Fluoroscopy certification required for candidates practicing in Colorado
- Active state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with CT imaging protocols, contrast administration, and contrast injector operation
- Experience with electronic imaging, including image viewing, transfer, and manipulation
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, including contrast administration under radiologist or physician supervision
- Responsibilities include patient identification and order verification, image quality review, radiation safety compliance, infection control, and accurate recordkeeping
- Provides patient education regarding exam procedures and contrast safety, and coordinates pertinent information with other care providers
- Assists and instructs students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment use
- Participates in continuing education to stay current with advancements in CT technology and protocols
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
