Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a CT Scan department, requiring ARRT CT certification, 3 years of experience, and availability for evening shifts including call, weekends, and holidays.
Details
- CT Scan department in an acute care hospital setting
- 2x12-hour evening shifts, Thursday and Friday from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
- 24 hours per week
- Call, weekend, and holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience
- 1 year of mammography diagnostic experience required
- Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training equivalent validated by active ARRT certification
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R)
- Current ARRT (CT) certification
- Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy - license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to perform peripheral venipuncture
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Must maintain continuing education hours as required by licensing agency
- MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs CT procedures, computer processing, and related imaging techniques for interpretation by licensed independent practitioners
- Adjusts exam protocols for pediatric patients in accordance with ACR Image Gently guidelines
- Participates in image peer review, QC procedures, and ACR accreditation activities as needed
- Assists in training new employees on equipment functionality, exam protocols, and modifications
- Provides supervision and instruction to imaging students during clinical rotations
- Monitors supply inventory, reports equipment malfunctions, and manages resources within established guidelines
- Sends images to tele-radiology service after hours as instructed
- Applies ALARA principles and radiation protection practices for patients and self
- Wears assigned personal dosimetry device
