Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week outpatient clinic assignment specializing in neurological and spine imaging.
Details
- Outpatient neurosurgery and neurology clinic setting with one x-ray room and one injection room
- Patient population includes adults and pediatrics with a focus on spine and head imaging, including scoliosis series, shunt series, and cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine studies
- Averages approximately 60 imaging patients per day, with around 30 involving injections; no sedation administered
- Imaging equipment includes a Shimadzu x-ray unit and a GE OEC C-arm; PACS system is Intellaspace
- EMR is Epic
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM; no weekends, no on-call, and the clinic is closed on holidays
- Occasional floating to other campus locations is possible but rare; candidates who are not comfortable floating can typically be accommodated
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of radiology technologist experience
- Current ARRT certification and BLS required
- Experience with spine, head, and pediatric imaging required
- C-arm experience required
- Epic EMR experience
- License required if applicable
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN is required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform general radiographic imaging and assist with injections in a fast-paced neurosurgery and neurology clinic environment
- Additional administrative tasks such as creating imaging CDs and other office duties are part of the role
- Department is supported by RNs, CNAs, front desk staff, and typically 3 imaging techs on shift, with up to 10–12 providers in the clinic at a time
- Approximately 1 week of orientation provided
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking available on campus
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates who previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
- RTO requests must be approved by the manager
- Must have most recent experience within the last year
