Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a hospital-based Infusion Center position requiring prior infusion and outpatient oncology experience, Epic proficiency, and an NC or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based infusion center setting treating oncology and hematology patients
- Patient diagnoses include solid tumor cancers, lymphomas, chronic leukemia, iron deficiency, myelodysplastic syndrome, and neuro-oncology
- Specialized procedures include bone marrow aspirations, intravesicular chemotherapy for bladder cancer, and intrathecal chemotherapy
- Special equipment on the unit includes a Cyracom interpreter machine, blood warmer, Hoyer lift, vein finder, and ultrasound-guided IV machine
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule with variable start times between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Previous infusion center and outpatient oncology experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- ONS or ONCC certification required
- ACLS preferred
- OCN certification preferred
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Scheduling flexibility is expected
