Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Assignment length of 18 weeks offering winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also accepted

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or Charge RN in the specialty being applied for, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Co-worker references will not be accepted
• Required certifications must be active at time of consideration; pending certifications will not be accepted
• Candidates with any open background check case will not be accepted
• Candidates with any professional license hits will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to medical/surgical telemetry patients on the night shift
• PBDS assessment is waived, but ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments must be completed during orientation with a passing score within 2 attempts
• COVID-19 vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions only
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• RTO must be discussed during the interview process
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
