Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a travel contract requiring Epic EMR proficiency, a CA RN license, and a minimum of 3 years of ER experience.

Details

• Work setting is a 221-bed acute care hospital Emergency Department
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week
• Epic EMR is used; experience is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license, unrestricted and in good standing, required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) required at time of hire
• TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire
• Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation required within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Recent ER experience within the last 3 months required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active, unrestricted license with no prior disciplinary actions on record
• 2 supervisory references required: one from the past year and one from the past two years
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming accountability for a patient group per shift, prescribing nursing care based on the nursing process, and collaborating with physicians and the broader care team
• Patient population spans all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
• MICN and CEN certifications are preferred for this role
• This position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)
