Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute position requiring Epic proficiency and an active CA RN license, working night shifts at a hospital in the Marysville, CA area.

Details

• Position is located in a 221-bed acute care hospital in Marysville, CA (Yuba-Sutter County area)
• Med/Surg Acute unit with stepdown capabilities
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts; 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Epic EMR is used; experience is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have worked in the submitted specialty within the last 3 months
• Candidates must have a clean, unrestricted license with no prior disciplinary actions
• Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated shift
• Develops and prescribes nursing care plans aligned with the medical plan of care, incorporating patient and family input
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to coordinate patient care across all age groups
• Incorporates patient education and discharge planning into the overall care plan
• Delegates appropriate aspects of care to other nursing staff based on competency and scope of practice
• This position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer; candidates with more than 5 days of RTO will not be considered
• A specialty-specific skills checklist completed within the past year is required for consideration
