Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, Cerner proficiency, and the ability to manage critical care patients.

Details

• Fast-paced hospital Emergency Department treating a diverse patient population including urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients
• Nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tube management
• Experience with stroke, STEMI, and critical care patients with drips is expected
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts (7p start) per week, totaling 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• 9-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience in a US hospital required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs, focusing on safety, quality, and positive patient experience
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• All certifications must be AHA-issued
