Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology position requiring Bone Marrow Transplant experience and chemotherapy administration skills.
Details
- Inpatient pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit at a major academic children's hospital
- Patient population includes pediatric hematology and oncology patients, including those receiving bone marrow transplants and cell/gene therapy
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call required
Requirements
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required; OCN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience required; experience administering cells is not required
- Experience with chemotherapy and blood product administration required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include cell and gene therapy administration, blood product administration, chemotherapy and conditioning treatment administration, supportive care, and triage
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have been employed by this health system within the past 12 months are not eligible
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
