Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit position at an acute care hospital in Alton, IL, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- 158-bed acute care hospital setting
- Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call is required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Block scheduling is not available
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required (no pending license accepted)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs are required
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be needed for consideration
