Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a 528-bed tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Details
- 13-week contract at a 528-bed tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY
- Unit covers both a 26-bed telemetry floor (primarily CHF, acute MI, post-device care including pacemakers, and arrhythmia patients) and a 51-bed general surgery floor (colorectal, ostomy, plastic and cosmetic, breast procedures and reconstruction)
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 on the Med/Surg side
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating required
- High-volume unit
Requirements
- Active NY RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; valid NIHSS must be submitted for consideration
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to manage a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
- Scrub color: any combination of navy and white
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
