Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic unit position requiring telemetry experience and pre/post-operative surgical care background.
Details
- Work on an inpatient surgical/urology/thoracic unit (Zayed 11 West) within a large acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes adult pre- and post-surgical cases across urology and thoracic specialties
- Two levels of care provided: adult inpatient acute and telemetry with continuous vital sign monitoring
- Dysrhythmia management is a core clinical function of this role
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
- Prior telemetry experience required, including dysrhythmia management
- Experience working on a unit with pre- and post-surgical patients required
- Experience in a facility with 500+ beds required
- Current BLS certification required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care within a high-acuity inpatient environment
- Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- 1–2 prior travel assignments preferred
