Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Hematology/Oncology unit position requiring active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and at least one year of nursing experience.

- Inpatient hospital setting on a Hematology/Oncology unit
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Step-down experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for managing an assigned group of hematology/oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions
- Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinates with interdisciplinary team members and support staff
- Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible to reapply
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
