Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) position in New Jersey, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience and an active NJ RN license.
Details
- High-acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) in a hospital setting
- PM shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- 13-week contract
- Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required as needed
- On-call is required for this position
- Epic EMR is used for charting
Requirements
- Active NJ RN license (or compact license) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform thorough, systematic patient assessments across the care continuum from pediatric to geriatric populations
- Provide direct patient care and demonstrate competency with emergency equipment and procedures
- Maintain complete and accurate nursing documentation in accordance with established guidelines
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
- Travelers who have been on assignment for one full calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before beginning a new assignment at this facility
- Background check and drug screen are required prior to start; candidates should expect at least 2 weeks for results
