Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring recent Epic experience and night shift availability in Bakersfield, CA.
Details
- Work setting is a 47-bed specialty hospital with three operating rooms and four cardiac catheterization labs
- Position is in the Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Epic EMR is used; recent experience within the last 12 months is required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Recent clinical experience in the ER specialty within the last 3 months required
- Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required
- Active, unrestricted nursing license with no prior license hits
- Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Delivers coordinated nursing care based on established standards and the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
- Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provides health education to patients, families, and the care team
- All vaccinations required as a condition of employment per facility policy; medical and religious exemptions may apply
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
- Bakersfield, CA offers affordable West Coast housing and is located within a few hours of Yosemite, Sequoia National Parks, and the Central California Coast
