Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist (Inpatient) with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including trauma experience, for a 13-week travel contract in Reno, NV.

Details

• Inpatient CT Scan department at a Level II Trauma Center — the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City
• Serves a broad patient population including neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Handles high-acuity imaging for trauma, stroke, code aorta, ER, inpatient, and outpatient cases
• Proficiency with in-house CT scanning and contrast injection equipment required
• Epic EMR used; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
• 4x10 hour varied daytime shifts
• No call required
• Floating to other areas of the organization may be required up to competency level

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in CT scanning
• Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography required (license required if applicable)
• AHA BLS certification required

Additional Information

• Produce diagnostic CT scans and assist the radiologist in diagnostic CT scan procedures, including administering IV contrast materials under radiologist direction
• Responsible for coordination of daily workflow and throughput for ER, inpatient, and outpatient cases, including care prioritization during rapidly changing volumes
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must take a 13-week break after their contract ends before returning
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• RTO must be submitted upfront; time will not be added to the end of the contract to compensate for RTO
• At least 2 major holidays will be required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
