Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours): 7:00 PM-7:30 AM or 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Shifts may vary based on hospital operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• 20-week assignment with 13-week options also considered

Requirements

• Active RN license (Permanent Ohio or Compact) in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience (travel experience accepted)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit with potential floating to related units and the ED
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month break required before returning unless otherwise approved
