Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring general, ortho, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical experience along with call coverage.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room unit of a hospital environment
- Handles general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical cases, with pediatric experience preferred
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Variable shifts with rotating days off, no set schedule guaranteed
- Call required
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Cerner charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; PALS preferred
- Experience with general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical procedures required
- Pediatric surgical experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- RTO must be submitted with candidate profile, and some holiday coverage should be expected
- Pending license candidates may be submitted but must have an active license before the start date
- An on-site drug screen will be conducted, including a marijuana panel, with any positive result resulting in immediate cancellation
- Candidates should avoid CBD products and other substances that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival onsite
- First-time travelers may be considered as long as required skills and experience are met
