Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics night shift position in Colorado, requiring an active CO or compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of perinatal nursing experience.

- Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics unit in a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted CO RN license or compact RN license required (must be currently active or obtainable prior to start)
- Minimum 1 year of perinatal RN experience required
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Required certifications: BLS (may be obtained upon hire), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider), AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring Intermediate (FHM), and STABLE Learner
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Additional Information
- This position is located at approximately 8,000 feet elevation; candidates must be physically healthy enough to safely function in a low-oxygen, high-altitude environment
- No RTO (time off requests) will be accepted for this assignment
- Housing is the responsibility of the traveler; the area is known for very high housing costs, with 1BR apartments in nearby Basalt averaging approximately $3,500/month — nearby towns such as Carbondale and Glenwood Springs may offer more affordable alternatives
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Staff is great , CNAs awesome . Very small hospital , on call rooms for emergency’s you have or state of alerts . So small you don’t float unless you’re critical care nurse .
Cons
Admit kids and adults, slow seasons are slow on call shifts . OT was labile . Depends what season you work . Bougie clientele if they don’t wanna d/c they won’t .
