Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit requiring 2+ years of hybrid OR/endovascular experience and proficiency with Zeego and Pheno systems.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit performing hybrid OR and special procedures
- 13-week assignment with 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional late shifts scheduled per unit needs
- Flexible on-call schedule required, roughly 8 shifts per month, varying by rotation
- Holiday call may be required
- No scrubbing required for this role
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Utilizes PACS, Siemens hybrid/advanced vascular imaging systems (Pheno/Zeego), and Siemens portable C-Arm for digital subtraction, road mapping, and measurements
- Works with vascular supplies including balloons, diagnostic catheters, wires, and sheaths
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Extensive hybrid OR and endovascular experience required, including FEVAR/PMEG, EVAR, TEVAR, AAA/TAA repair, angiograms, declots, lysis, stenting, embolization, and TAVR procedures
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Zeego and Pheno systems required
- Experience with Penumbra, AngioJet, Shockwave, IVUS, Jet Stream, and Medrad required
- EPIC charting experience required
- ARRT and BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Previous travel experience required
- Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
- Must work well under pressure and independently in a high-acuity environment
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching hospital, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 staffed beds
- Radiation badge required and will be provided by the agency
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, dependent on unit needs
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local
- Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
- Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November with peak activity in August and September
