Description
American Traveler is seeking a Chemo-Certified RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification and at least one year of chemotherapy experience.
Details
- Work setting is an outpatient oncology infusion clinic (Main Infusion Center)
- Adult oncology patient population receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions
- Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Minimum of 1 year of chemotherapy experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administers PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered; may serve as a resource for chemotherapy-related expertise
- Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Provides chemotherapy-related patient and family education, answers inquiries, and offers guidance as appropriate
- Conducts post-visit phone triage and coordinates follow-up care and referrals
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Workers who have previously completed an assignment at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply again
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance
