Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel contract in Lafayette, IN, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and active IN or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital Emergency Department setting with 32 beds
- Patient population includes medical, injured, and mental health patients across the lifespan
- Standard patient ratio of 1:4, with higher ratios for lower-acuity patients
- Uses Level I fluid warmers and Epic EMR
- Mid-shift schedule: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM (nights), 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call or float requirements
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
- Experience with patients across the lifespan required; trauma care experience preferred
- US Social Security Number required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including medical, trauma, and mental health cases
- EKG testing is required as part of the hiring process; candidates are allowed 2 attempts, and must wait 30 days before reapplying if unsuccessful
- Online education modules will be assigned and must be completed prior to the first day of the assignment
- Navy scrubs required; facility dress code must be followed
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
