Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel ICU position in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, a BSN, and an active CA RN license.
Details
- 13-week travel assignment in a community hospital ICU
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Every other weekend requirement
- On-call/call-off based on census
- Epic EMR experience required
- Local candidates are accepted
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BSN required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (must be AHA or ARC issued)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (hard stop)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients required
- Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration required
- Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
- 7-year work history verification required
Additional Information
- Preferred skills include CVVHD/CRRT and ventilator management
- Additional valued skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, HFNC, ABG interpretation, CVVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, procedural sedation, and hemodialysis
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply if all other requirements are met
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; candidates within 50 miles may still be considered at a local rate
- Former employees or travelers must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract; only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract
- Holiday blackout periods apply to: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day (each holiday period begins at 7:00 PM the prior evening and ends at 7:00 AM the following morning)
