Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, travel experience, and an active WA RN license in hand.
Details
- General Emergency Department serving a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Level II Trauma Center; facility is also STEMI, Stroke, and Shock/Trauma certified
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
Requirements
- Active WA or Compact RN license currently in hand is required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Travel nursing experience required
- Required certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Clinical skills required include: triage, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, intubation, procedural sedation, IV vasopressors/paralytics/sedation, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, ICP monitoring, CVA management, neuro-trauma, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
- Pediatric emergency experience preferred
Additional Information
- Orientation includes required modules averaging 8–12 hours to complete, signed off by facility managers
- No block scheduling available for this assignment
- Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted for the duration of the assignment; all RTO must be disclosed upfront and cannot be modified after submission
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
- Travel pairs are accepted
- Former employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for consideration as a traveler
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required for consideration
