Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• Rotating day and night shifts: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM / 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required prior to start of clinical care
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Acute care/inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process under the direction of a physician
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to identify and pursue expected patient outcomes
• Assesses and anticipates discharge needs for patients and families, including those with complex care issues
• Fosters intra- and interdepartmental communication in a clinical operations environment
• ACLS certification may be required by some units prior to performing clinical care — training and certification opportunities will be provided
• Annual competency assessment required per documented competency checklist
