Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with a night shift schedule and every-other-weekend commitment.

Details

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state required prior to start of clinical care
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Acute care / inpatient hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to identify and pursue expected patient outcomes
• Assesses and anticipates discharge needs for patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex or high-risk cases
• Promotes infection control, standard precautions, and a safe hospital environment
• Annual competency assessments required per documented checklist
