Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with cardiac cath experience plus interventional radiology, vascular, or neuro experience across at least two of these four modalities.

Details

• Cath Lab setting including diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Performs procedures such as left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, cardiac stent placement, cardiac implant closure devices, and IABP placement/removal
• Adult patient population including middle adult and older adult age groups
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required on a case-by-case basis with no set schedule
• Weekend requirements to be discussed with the manager
• Will float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including floating to two sister hospitals within a 20-mile radius
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience in Cath Lab specialty required, 2 years preferred
• Experience in at least two of the following four modalities required, and must be reflected in work history: Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT-R and CCI RCIS certification required
• RCVT and additional RCIS certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Scrub technologist experience specializing in Cath Lab required
• Skilled in equipment setup, sterile technique, infection control, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience serving as room circulator and maintaining sterile field while scrubbed in
• License required if applicable

• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

• Facility is a smoke-free environment requiring nicotine-free status with negative testing
• Time-sensitive training modules must be completed promptly once confirmed for the assignment
• Scrub color is Ceil Blue
• Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 180 staffed beds
• Candidates must maintain sterile technique and follow infection control and isolation precaution protocols
• Age-specific competency required for middle adult and older adult populations
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Pending license candidates are not accepted
