Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring a NV RN license and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Work on the Sierra 1 Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a Level II Trauma Center hospital
- Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
- 3x12 night shift schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week
- No on-call requirements
- Schedule may vary based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
- Floating required to the needs of the organization up to competency level
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active NV RN license required prior to start
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
- Minimum of one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
- Epic EMR training available during orientation or candidates may test out
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Work within a Level II Trauma Center treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually
- Facility features advanced technology including Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, 3T MRI, and PET/CT imaging
- Facility may call off shifts, without penalty, up to 48 hours per 13-week contract for low census, which may include full or partial shifts
- Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
- A 13-week break is required after ending a contract with this facility before returning
- RTO must be submitted with the initial application as time off cannot be added at the end of the contract to make up for it
- No blocked scheduling allowed
