Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Dept position in Denver, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and a full complement of emergency certifications.

Details

• 32-bed Emergency Department in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratios vary by acuity: 1:4 for standard assignments, 1:6 for Vertical Care space
• Equipment used includes Zoll Lifepaks, GE monitors, Stryker stretchers, and Mobilab
• EMR: Meditech (experience preferred)
• Staffing includes charge RNs, staff RNs, and EMT/Medics across all shifts

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital ED RN experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the start date)
• CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Common procedures include triage, assessment, conscious sedation, splinting, and other standard ED interventions
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Meditech EMR experience is preferred and will be given priority consideration
