Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute Care nights position in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Acute Care/Med-Surg Adult and Observation unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes post-operative orthopedic surgery patients, hybrid cath lab procedure/surgery patients, and those with acute and chronic illnesses
- Telemetry monitoring is part of the scope of care
- 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation
- Call rotation required, with 1 call shift per 2-week period as needed for staffing
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS, both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 3 years of RN Med/Surg experience required
- Acute care, med/surg, or telemetry RN experience required
- Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted (required Oct 1 – Apr 1, must be current season)
- Date of birth (DOB) or Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration
- Candidate's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process
- ACLS is required to provide Intermediate Care in the CCU as needed
- A CAPS (Colorado Adult Protective Services) background check is required and may take up to two weeks to obtain — candidates should begin this process as early as possible
- Fully furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments are available within half a block of the facility for rent directly through the facility during the assignment, based on availability
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent residence must be at least 75 miles from the facility
