Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology Clinic (Radiation Therapy) position requiring active chemotherapy certification and at least one year of chemotherapy experience.

- Radiation Therapy unit within an oncology clinic setting
- Day shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) required
- Minimum 1 year of chemotherapy experience required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- 1 year of oncology experience preferred
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Proficiency in IV infusion initiation, regulation, and monitoring, including blood products
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of oncology patients, monitoring and responding to physiological changes
- Administers medications, manages IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
- Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
- Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals based on patient care needs
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for another contract
- Compliance requirements, including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements, must be completed promptly — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
