Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring current chemotherapy certification and at least 1 year of chemotherapy experience.
Details
- Outpatient hospital-based oncology infusion clinic setting for adult patients
- Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours weekly)
- Administers PO and SC medications, chemotherapy drugs, and other treatments as ordered
- Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Assists physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
- Coordinates patient follow-up care including referrals and post-visit phone calls
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification from AHA
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient infusion and chemotherapy experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Additional Information
- Provides chemotherapy administration, patient education, and care coordination in an outpatient oncology setting
- Educates patients and families on chemotherapy treatment and side effects
- Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with the care team
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates within the radius are not eligible for this position
- Returning workers may extend contracts only once for a total of 26 weeks, requiring a 6-month separation before reapplying
