Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Night Shift position in Nashua, NH, requiring a minimum of 5 years of L&D and postpartum experience with a valid NH or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit serving pregnant and laboring women, newborns, and gynecological surgical patients
- Patient population includes laboring and postpartum women, newborns, GYN surgical patients, and general post-op patients
- Circulation experience required as part of the role
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a
- Every 3rd weekend minimum required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience required
- Circulation experience required
- Willingness to care for GYN surgical and general post-op patients
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff
- Demonstrated patient-centered behaviors and high level of organizational accuracy
Additional Information
- Deliver nursing care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, and GYN/post-op patients across the continuum of care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation)
- Practice is guided by AWHONN Standards for Professional Nursing Practice in the Care of Women and Newborns, 7th Edition
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure effective patient outcomes
- Defined workweek runs from Sunday at 12:01am through the following Saturday at 11:59pm
