Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Night Shift position in Nashua, NH, requiring a minimum of 5 years of L&D and postpartum experience with a valid NH or compact RN license.

Details

Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit serving pregnant and laboring women, newborns, and gynecological surgical patients
Patient population includes laboring and postpartum women, newborns, GYN surgical patients, and general post-op patients
Circulation experience required as part of the role
Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a
Every 3rd weekend minimum required
13-week contract

Requirements

Active NH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Current BLS/BCLS certification required
Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience required
Circulation experience required
Willingness to care for GYN surgical and general post-op patients
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff
Demonstrated patient-centered behaviors and high level of organizational accuracy

Additional Information

Deliver nursing care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, and GYN/post-op patients across the continuum of care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation)
Practice is guided by AWHONN Standards for Professional Nursing Practice in the Care of Women and Newborns, 7th Edition
Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure effective patient outcomes
Defined workweek runs from Sunday at 12:01am through the following Saturday at 11:59pm
