Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in Louisville, KY, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and familiarity with a wide range of surgical specialties including robotic-assisted procedures.
Details
- Hospital-based Surgical Services unit
- Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- No weekend requirements
- On-call required up to 40 hours per 6-week schedule
- Surgical specialties include hysterectomy, gynecology, total joints, general surgery, bariatrics, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics
- Da Vinci robotic surgical system utilized
- Epic EMR used in this unit
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Familiarity with a broad range of OR specialties including robotic surgery (Da Vinci), gyn, total joints, bariatrics, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care for surgical patients
- Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and utilize resources effectively
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed support staff and may serve in a mentor or preceptor capacity
- Participates in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts
- Care delivery is guided by a Practice Governance framework with an emphasis on evidence-based practice
