Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with a minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED, inpatient, and OR setting.
Details
- Works across ED, inpatient, and OR settings, including portable X-ray
- Willingness to learn pediatric and neonatal imaging is expected
- EMR systems include Epic and Sectra
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, and CareStream
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 5 shifts per week
- Primarily assigned to one department per day with floating expected as needed
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2–3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
- Experience in high-volume, high-acuity trauma environments with diverse and complex cases
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- Graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiologic technology program
- Proficiency with radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
- Experience with GE, Philips, and CareStream imaging equipment preferred
- Epic and/or Sectra EMR experience preferred
- Active state license required if applicable
- Must be able to perform competency evaluations for radiology students
Additional Information
- This is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with a high volume of complex and critical cases — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals are not a strong fit for this role
- Responsibilities include operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluating images for technical quality
- This facility works with radiology students; the traveler will assist with competency check-offs
- Mask fit testing is required prior to starting
