Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week cardiology assignment requiring BLS, ARRT or CCI credentialing, and at least 1 year of experience in cath lab or cardiovascular invasive procedures.

Details

  • Cardiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of cumulative cath lab or cardiovascular invasive experience, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience
  • BLS required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required prior to start
  • ARRT credentialing with a Radiography specialization required prior to start (any specialty accepted)
  • Illinois Radiology Tech license issued by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency required in combination with ARRT credentialing
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from CCI preferred
  • High school diploma equivalency required; Associate's or Technical degree preferred
  • DOB and SSN required for consideration
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include assisting with angiographic, complex vascular, nonvascular interventional, and therapeutic procedures, as well as assisting the Radiologist/PA
  • Duties include preparing and positioning patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters, and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice
  • Patient monitoring during procedures is required, including observing and reporting abnormal activity
  • Must follow radiation safety procedures and ensure compliance with all regulatory agency standards
  • Responsible for monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted
  • Local candidates are accepted as the local rate is the same as the travel rate
  • EMR experience is required; candidates must have experience with the specific EMR system used at this facility

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish.
