Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Austin, TX, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and active EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting, located on the 4th floor of a 32-bed unit
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Alternating weekend requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:2, supported by a charge nurse and co-charge nurse on each shift
• Procedures performed include SVD, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC
• Equipment used includes Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, AAP card), STABLE, and intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM)
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience required
• SVE competency and C-section circulation experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Additional Information

• Internal monitor placement competency is preferred
• Prior HCA facility assignment or employment is preferred
• Experience in a high-volume Level IV L&D unit is preferred
• Scrub color is navy blue; solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts only — t-shirts are not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
